Impacts Drive Fasteners with Low Torque Reaction

Impacts use a hammer mechanism to rotate an anvil, which can drive a variety of fasteners with little to no torque reaction on the operator.

Impacts work by delivering a sudden, forceful rotational impact rather than a constant torque reaction like a direct drive tool.

Impacts are typically non-torque-controlled tools.
