Jib Cranes may be Enclosed Track, I-beam, or Articulating
Jib cranes feature a horizontal beam (jib) that rotates or articulates to move loads. They are often used in conjunction with hoists, balancers, or other manipulators and lift assists.
Jib cranes are ideal for reaching into workspaces and moving products into and out of a main crane's work area.
Jib Cranes can be enclosed track, I-beam, or articulating, and each of these options may be freestanding or wall-mounted.
Enclosed track jib cranes allow a trolley to run up and down the arm of the jib inside an enclosed track
I-beam jib cranes allow a trolley to run up and down the arm along the I-beam.
Articulating Jib cranes have a hoist, balancer, or other lifting device fixtured at the end of the arm. A joint in the middle of the arm facilitates precise load placement. This movement, combined with the rotation of the jib, allows for a large coverage area in a circular pattern.
Freestanding jib cranes can rotate 360 degrees, while wall-mounted jib cranes rotate up to 200 degrees.
Jib cranes reduce operator fatigue, protect against product damage, and improve overall operations.
